“The truth is that our finest moments are most likely to occur when we are feeling deeply uncomfortable, unhappy, or unfulfilled. For it is only in such moments, propelled by discomfort, that we are likely to step out of our ruts and start searching for different ways or truer answers."
- M. Scott Peck

The Beginning

Welcome to the beginning of your journey. I know you have a lot of questions about yourself, so many answers you have yet to know. You’re desperately searching for the truth, wanting to find out who you are and what you're truly capable of. Up to this point in your life, you've just been going with the flow, unaware of who you really are. Well, please don’t get discouraged. I'll try to help you make sense of it all. So, get something to drink, and go use the bathroom. We have a lot to go over, and with that said, you've already completed your first step towards realizaing the true you, because... finading the courage to look for answers is how true self-growth begins.

This Journey Is Not A Lonely One

I wouldn’t be writing this self help ebook had I not fought my own battles. Personally, I'm someone who is extremely hard on themself, so please trust me when I say I've probably fallen as many times as you, if not harder, and that's mainly because I let myself, which is one key thing you have to bear in mind. The way in which we evaluate our falls in life; it can either be a newly discovered life lesson, OR, in most cases, a curse we fail to see for what it truly is, a life lesson to better improve ourselves. That's actually one of the second things you should keep in mind, is that you're NOT the only one going through a mental battle, and I think that's one of the most overlooked details people assume; that they ARE alone, that they're the only ones going through a mental breakdown, that misfortune chose them and them alone, but, if you just remember that there are countless others trying to figure out the exact same things as you, it feels a tad more refreshing. To not even be aware of who you are is both painful and frustrating, yet, those of us who are truly trying to seek guidance will eventually come to this bridge that separates the person we think we are from the person we know we are. But, it is a path worthy of our devotion... I know countless others whom choose to just go with the flow in all situations of life. They have no true individuality, nor do they truly know who they are, but you... you are here, you're trying to get in touch with yourself, and that's a very admirable decision. After all, struggling with who we are is one of the most challenging experiences we’ll go through, but if we stay focused, if we stay open, and if we stay honest with our hearts then, the journey towards self-discovery will prove to be one of the most rewarding experiences of our lives. So stay persistent and don’t give in to what‘s holding you back, namely your own self-doubt.

You Are The Final Trigger

So, why are you here? What is it you wish to garnish form this experience? Remember, I can supply you with all of my insight, you can read all the self-growth articles and self-help guides that you want, but, in the end... it will always and ultimately come down to you. I can supply the logical reasons, your friends can give you the motivation, and your role model can infuse you with desire. But... YOU will be the one to make that final leap forward in life. That is one of the most important things to be aware of. Change starts from within; you have to want to change. I know we’re making good time, but let’s stop for a second. I haven’t properly introduced myself yet.

The Philosophy Maintained Within These Articles

My name is Matthew; I don’t offer fancy theories or throw around big words, nor do I label most problems as a chemical imbalance of the mind. We all have the ability to overcome life obstacles, my simplistic words are simply a way for us to understand ourselves, and the world around us, more clearly thus leading to our own self discovery… as such, I speak on your level as your equal. I don't take bias in saying religion is the key to your happiness. No, what I offer is a down to earth perspective of all the trials and tribulations life throws to us. For within perspective lies the key to breaking our barriers... and that is the philosophy maintained throughout the articles.  Ultimately, the following is how I’ve come to view our own journeys  of which we all, or those of us whom take our existance seriously, eventually undertake.

You and I, we're a lot like trees really. We're both abundant and unmistakable for what we are, sharing the same physical makeup. And yet, as each tree's branches are unique and far reaching, so are the paths we all tread upon. At the same time though, every branch is connected... they all stem from one point. No matter how far out our branches, our paths, extend to, we're all connected. We all have the ability to look around and know that we're not alone, that we're all  growing together. I'm just one simple branch looking to help you grow as healthy as possible, the same way others have kindly nurtured me along the way. This website and my words are a result of the self-growth I've gone through... hoping it will help you too.

Who Are You?

Always keep that in mind, but for now, let’s keep going with one of my favorite questions… how do you view yourself? You've heard the expression about how, indivudually, we're all just tiny little miscroscopic existances in this giant universe? That's one of the most foolish implications I've ever heard... yes, we are very tiny in the grand scheme of things. Yes, we'll probably never come into contact with a majority of the people of this planet... and yes, to those people we have yet to meet, our existance is entirely meaningless and non-existant... to them. But to us, to you... you are the single most important existance in this universe, because you are you. No one else is you and no one else can be you. So, let me ask again...
